What Nonprofit Compass™ can help you track—and what its checklists, risk scores, and reports cannot establish.

A management tool, not professional advice

Nonprofit Compass™ is a compliance checklist and risk-reporting tool for nonprofit leaders. It helps organize responsibilities, deadlines, status, and priorities. Its content and outputs are for general informational and management purposes.

The service does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other regulated professional advice. Using the platform or contacting its operator does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, or other professional advisory relationship.

Your organization must verify its requirements

Obligations vary by jurisdiction, tax status, activities, funding sources, contracts, and other circumstances. Laws, filing instructions, and deadlines can change. A general checklist cannot identify every obligation that applies to your organization.

Your organization remains responsible for checking current requirements with the relevant authorities, meeting deadlines, making filings, keeping appropriate records, and obtaining qualified professional advice. The platform does not file forms, obtain approvals, or communicate with regulators on your behalf.

Risk scores and reports are not certifications

Risk scores reflect the platform's scoring method and the checklist information entered by users. They do not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of those entries.

A low score, completed checklist, or board-ready report is not a legal opinion, audit, assurance engagement, certification of compliance, accreditation, or guarantee of grant eligibility. It does not guarantee that funding will be awarded or that an organization will avoid penalties or other losses.

Reports should support—not replace—board oversight, management judgment, and review by qualified advisers. Check your inputs and conclusions before sharing a report or making decisions.

Illustrative scenarios and product examples

Sections labeled illustrative scenarios are hypothetical examples, not verified customer testimonials. The representative people pictured in those sections are not presented as actual customers. Product screenshots labeled sample data do not describe a real customer's results.

Examples do not promise time savings, funding, compliance, or any other outcome. Results depend on your organization's circumstances and how the tool is used. Registration totals do not establish active usage or paid subscriptions.

External sources and affiliations

References and links to external websites are provided for convenience. Those sites can change, and their content and practices are outside the operator's control. A reference does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

Nonprofit Compass™ is not a government agency and does not issue regulatory approvals. References to IRS, state, or other governmental requirements do not imply government affiliation or endorsement.

Availability, accuracy, and responsibility

The service is provided as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, complete coverage of obligations, or suitability for every organization. Review important records and keep appropriate copies.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by relying on the service in place of independent verification or qualified professional advice. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Billing and the money-back guarantee

This disclaimer does not change the pricing or refund policy shown at checkout and on the pricing page.
